Snake at Raffles Hall spotted thrice

NUS Open House draws positive response

A one-metre-long black snake was seen on the premises of Raffles Hall last week on three separate occasions between Monday and Wednesday and has yet to be caught.

NUS got a thumbs-up at its Open House event this year. According to Johann Loke, assistant manager at the NUS Office of Corporate Relations, the event, which took place over the weekend, drew over 17,000 visitors.

New parking system brings little fix to campus parking problems

Gillman Heights to go, replacement housing to come

With the new parking system, students can no longer escape paying parking fees. According to the Office of Estate and Development’s website, NUS car parks will be installed with an automated parking system that uses the Electronic Road Pricing technology.

The recent en-bloc sale of Gillman Heights was announced to its graduate student residents in a letter circulated last week. The sale means that all the current occupants must vacate their apartments eventually although the exact timetable is not known.
